The Tything Barn 5k is well established as the premier clothing optional race in the UK - this will be the 16th running of the event. The distance of 5 kilometres is ideal for everyone from the fun runner or novice who with a little training could hope to complete the course, to more experienced runners who will be battling for the trophies and prizes on offer. The use of the WAVA age-grading system makes the race all the more competitive as results for awarding of prizes are calculated taking into account the age of competitors. The emphasis of the event however is very much on having fun simply in taking part - the clothes free aspect making for great camaraderie amongst competitors and a unique atmosphere.

Most people run fully naked in the race but it is promoted as clothing optional so that participants need not feel obliged to strip off totally.  As the race title 'Bare if you Dare' suggests the race is not just aimed at experienced naturists who think nothing of running about naked but equally hopes to attract first timers from a running background  looking for an exhilerating new experience

The run takes place over a three lap course within the grounds of the spectacular Tything Barn naturist site in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

Tything Barn is a licenced camping and caravan site and participants in the race may camp overnight to make a weekend of it.  This should be booked in advance.

Entry to the site and all facilities are available to runners and accompanying spectators. This is a wonderful tranquil spot overlooking the Cleddau estuary with salt water lagoons which are excellent for a refreshing swim after the run.

The route is  3 laps of varied terrain on pathways around the lagoons and wooded sections  making for a challenging and scenic run.  The pathways are in reasonably good order but trail running shoes with a good grip are recommended. The course will be well marked throughout.
